Tips and tab for learning Mandolin

hi anyone got any surrestions on pick ups for mandolin .i would like something that can be put on and removed easily as also love joining in at jams when camping.also any suggestions fot strings that will last in our scottish climate out of doors,thanks

I used a set of K&K on Lisa's mandolin for a trial. Nothing sounds as good as a mandolin but it sounded quite nice.
